The lip-service, hypocrisy & red tape over the years have almost stifled this and other ventures. We could have been much further along the development road if it weren't for pompous bureaucrats with no imagination! Many great efforts have been stifled instead of facilitated by these people& their rules. It is their limited vision of how our economy should look that has held us back.Sugar,banana, bauxite, smallscale manufacturing & if those become uncompetitive, we shouldn't nimbly shift to non traditional areas like this & niche markets. In other words, if the traditional holders of money aren't interested in a project, no one else is to be facilitated. I'm including the financial institutions in this massive ossified road block that has trapped us where we are while other countries have leaped ahead. I pray that the desperate times will break the stranglehold & set free our creative & industrial potential so we can really make our mark using this & many other non-traditional routes.
